Orgainzing Tomouh/Ambition for Social Entrepreneurship Contest Second Phase
As part of Egypt Information and Communications Technology Trust Fund (ICT-TF) commitment to support Social Entrepreneurship, Egypt ICT-TF has launched the second phase of Tomouh /Ambition For Social Entrepreneurship Contest at 10: 30 am on the 15th of February, 2012 at the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology premises.
Attended the event some of the most distinguished Egyptian experts in the field of youth and project management to discuss tactics that could be used to further improve the contest, among them were (Dr. Ibrahim Ghareeb; Director of one of Youth associations , Dr. Nadia Al Nashar; a Journalist and an expert in the field of social communication, Mr. Adel Shouky; An expert in accounting and economics, and Ms. Nesma Hewali; community outreach Project manager). Also attended some managers of projects that participated in the first contest.
The event was opened by a speech by Eng. Hoda Dahroug, National Project Manager of Egypt ICT-TF. Her speech gave a brief about the contest previous phase and stressed that this contest importance lies in its commits to support youth, especially entrepreneurs, to gain necessary skills needed to manage and start their own business.
The event then included sessions that covered the following topic
1. Tomouh/ Ambition contest first phrase results
2. Implementation cycles of the second contest phase
3. Lesson learnt and future vision
Mr. Karim Kasim, the project manager, presented some very important recommendations that stressed the importance of smoothening financial procedures and the necessity of including orientation sessions on contest regulations
It is worth mentioning that this contest is a sub project of Youth Social Entrepreneurship Programme (YSEP), www.ysep.org.eg, that supports and enriches youth entrepreneurial skills through 3 phases; (Knowledge, Mentorship, Financing)
